Hi Atty. Prashanthi, I signed a contract from my local Philippine recruiter who brought me here in the US. My recruiter made a hardcopy of terms and agreement and gave my employer and I a copy to sign on. The agreement inlcudes if and when I breach the contract, I have to pay all the expenses incurred by my employer to bring me here in the US (immigration fees, recruitment fees, etc.). I would just like to know if there is a law that allows recruiters to hold employees through this agreement.

This is one of the most hilarious thing I heard in months, thought I'll share....

She heard a loud whisper: 'Fuck the Indians,'
'Who said that?' she demanded. Chandrasekhar put his hand up. 'General Custer, 1862.'
At that point, a student in the back said, 'I'm gonna puke.'
The teacher glares around and asks 'All right! Now, who said that?'
Again, Chandrasekhar says, 'George Bush to the Japanese Prime Minister, 1991.'
Now furious, another student yells, 'Oh yeah? Suck this!' Chandrasekhar jumps out of his chair waving his hand

Now with almost mob hysteria someone said 'You little shit. If you say anything else, I'll kill you.'
Chandrasekhar frantically yells at the top of his voice, Michael 'Jackson to the child witnesses testifying against him- 2004.'
The teacher fainted..
And as the class gathered around the teacher on the floor, someone said, 'Oh shit, we're screwed!'
And Chandrasekhar whispered quietly, "the Republicans, November 4th, 2008".

Talking to lawyer would be in ur best interest. We just put our thoughts collectively here. if you are stuck outside, do not blame us.
U can renew ur H1 6 months prior to expiry. Travel in and out depends on Visa stamping and the dates. If u have valid H1, and do not have a valid visa, then u need to get one too.

Hi Everyone,
Our Immigration status is EAD and my wife is pregnant,
We are very happy with the news..
There is lot of possibility for us to be in India during due date, based on few important events in family.
We would like to know.. if baby is born in India then what possibilities are there for us to bring baby along with us?
(if mother stays in India for couple of more months)
can baby also get Green Card when we (parents) are allotted green card?
All your advices are always appreciated.

My spose and myself got EIDs, but I decided to be on H1b. But a small company offered my wife to work as part time employee, one day per week and they are ready to pay couple of hunder dollers.
Becase my wife gets some experience, we thought that is good idea.But the question is do we need to ask them to run the W2 form for her or just taking the money and reporting that income to IRS while filing taxes is enough? Gurus please answer.

Now that i have my I-140 approved for over an year now and never filed for 485, does the similar/same job/field apply in case of a job change or can i have a new job responsibility with a new employer and then port my PD based upon the approved 1-140 from previous employer?
You do not need similar job. You can even move from EB3 to EB2. But you will need to start over the whole 9 yards .. have a new PERM from new employer for the new job position, apply a new 140 . during applying 140, you request CIS to allocate you the old PD.

I am stuck out side of US for my name check for last 9 months when I applied for my H-1. I have approved I 140. is there any way I can file my I 1485 and Advance parole or any thing to get back into US.
Some one has told me that I can use consular processing but have no idea about that.
