When I met IO at the Boston District USCIS, She typed in my 485 receipt # or A # on her system and looked at my file and said they already have my finger prints and she said why did you get FP notices again. She again looked at my file for few seconds and then she has written code 2 on our second(new) set of FP notices and asked us to give code 2 prints on scheduled date. ( Actually uscis requested code 3 on our new FP notices )
She also said If Boston USCIS Application Support Center(ASC) takes our code 2 FP's then it is fine, otherwise if they say they already have our code 3 prints and refuse to take them again, the IO asked me to take a infopass and contact them again, so that boston distric office can make a phone call to ASC and sort out the issue.
I did not apply for online EAD why do they need our code 2 finger prints. ??

I am currently with a company through which I filed my I-485. The filing was done by the company laywer. If I invoke AC21 after 180 days of filing and change to a different company, how would I ensure that USCIS removes the current lawyer as the attorney of record? This is assuming that I want to represent myself and not use a lawyer after switching to a new company.

I have a word of advice for you. Don�t use TOI (Times of India) style headlines to mislead people into reading your post. If you are one of those Indians who has an innate desire to look at everything with a shade of pink glasses you should reconsider living here. Airlines don�t fly one way from India to US. You can always take the flight back home. 16-hour workdays, a fantastic work life balance, and all basic amenities await you in the land of kamadhenu (the sacred mythological cow that gave the Hindu Gods everything they needed for a happy life)

You have been current for a long time based on your profile.. did you check what is the status of your I485 application
Status is still initial review on 485 and when checked with infopass I was told that my case in in extended review.
And yes, my case is current from last 10 months.

All they need to do is add "text message" functionality and a new Cascaded Style Sheet.

A customer-centric home page that provides applicants with a “one-stop shop” of immigration services information.
Simplified navigation and improved search capability.
Enhanced customer service tools including expanded Case Status Online with both email and text functionality.
Information that is written clearly and meets the needs of our customers.
It is pretty vague. They may just make some cosmetic changes for the existing website. I dont see anything new here. I hope they prove me wrong!

Just allowing filing of I-485 while You are retrogressed, is a boon, so u can get EAD and are allowed to change Jobs in the Same profession

These online petitions are useless. Do not sign up for them and waste your time. If you really want to do something for the bill then go and meet your senators and congressmen and talk about the bill and other bills that solve your problems.
Obama or for that matter any senator will never come to petionsonline website and see all fake signatures.

i am wondering do you have LUd for i-485 or i-131 or i-140 ?
it was for my EAD application (I already completed the finger printing ..it took 2 minutes but I had to drive a total of 50 miles ..waste of time and gas ..my last finger printing was 4 months ago ..I get the feeling that they send us for FP just to keep the folks at the FP office busy on a saturday !!) ..I saw the date change twice ..but no new message (last wed and friday) ..maybe they did not want to work before the long weekend.

I went to DMV in NJ with my EAD. They will give you the DL based on your EAD date.
don't worry about the H1 satus. DMV only check the document and enter the number in system. I hope this won't do anything to your satus. As i know.
Since i haven't received my H1 approval, i got to use the EAD in my case.

Well I managed to reschedule my travel so now will be able to get my FP done.
Other than AP, EAD, Passport, I-797 and ofcourse the FP notice, is any other document that I need to take?
