Has anyone tried to talk to your banks for refinance under this new rule? I talked to my bank- Wells Fargo..They were very rude and said that they do not know about this at all as they haven't got any notification.When I told them that this news is on CNBC...they did not want to believe it.Asked when I should call again,they said keep calling every week..Was really disappointing...

Good thing is after 6 months of EAD ,change the jobs. So the new additional income added to your pot can be used to pay INS if there are any annual renewals till you get the GC.
INS will have atleast 200-300K 485 Applicaitons from Indians and equivalent from chinese, Mexico by July 31'st.
So INS will have a good beer party with Billions of Dollars and fixed royalty income from renewals from the potbellys of Indians, chinese,mexicans. This is a ballgame in no mans land.
Some one in INS did a good math to have good money. With these money, if the new bill et al is passed, can be used to build next gen systems.

Is it possible to change to Consular processing while I-140 and I-485 is in pending.

I am changing my job on H1B. I have I-140 approved with present company. What documents do I need to have to keep my old priority date? I have copy of I-140 approval notice. Do I need to have copy of labor certification as well?

I got a soft lud back in December on my approved 140 on a Sunday (along with several other IV members)... but nothing since then!

My spouse's case is this: She has applied for AOS I-485 (India) based on an underlying EB3 I-140 (PD feb. 2007) petition during July 2007. At that time she had also applied for an EB2 NIW self petition, which was recently approved in April 2009.
Two issues arise now:
a) The PD date of the newly approved I-140 is August 2007.How do we inform USCIS to capture previously approved EB3 I-140's PD. She has used AC21 to port to same or similar job, but he previous EB3 I-140 has not been revoked. Is it possible to capture previous PD?
b) Do we have to send new I-485's or can we ask USCIS to interile newly approved EB2 NIW I-140 to the already submitted I-485s. If yes, how do we do that ?

I applied I-485 and 765 (EAD) as a husband on my wife's LC on July 2, 2007.
I will not be getting my EAD before Sept. 07.
My confusion is whether is it legal to extend my CPT on F1 even if I receive AOS receipt number ??

An L-1 work visa is issued to an executive of a company that has worked with his/her company outside of the USA for at least one year. Dependents receive L-2 visas and a spouse can apply for an EAD. Trouble is, if the exec is laid off, all of the dependant visas immediately expire and both the exec and his/her spouse must leave the USA!
Any ideas how to alleviate this issue? Getting a H1B visa is impractical since they are so scarce.

I might send them a couple of recommendations. One of them has to do with issuing receipt notices the same day or next day instead of waiting for weeks by using bar-code technology in forms. I will post a copy of email here once I send it.
