it only has a cdrom drive. it can handle 360 mb ram (max)

4.8 Terabytes over 5 Hd's, 2Gb of Ram, Dual 867Mhz G4 processors and I'm a happy man!
Just need the graphics card to arrive and I'm pretty much done hardware wise. Then its just setting the machine up.

BTW no pictures as yet. Being a noob to tower based systems I didn't order long enough data cables so the inside is real messy. I think I'll just go for 1 meter length cables and cable tie them in place nice and neat. That will aid airflow as well.
One thing just quickly. As Nap is now working, is the connector that the main system fan normally plugs into throttled? Its just that at the moment I've got the fan plugged into a 12v supply and its running max rpm all the time. I would like to get it temperature controlled to keep the noise down even more.

Apple has something like 200+ patents (http://www.mad4mobilephones.com/the-21-most-important-iphone-patents/562/) for the iPhone. This could get bloody when Apple responds with additional counter suits. I would pity those called for jury duty to make sense of the technical minutia. The breadth of the patent portfolios will be too detailed to battle in court. They are presented primarily as a way of saying "back off!" Ultimately, cross licensing agreements are forged.

I second this. I was a 2 gallon donor before I made the infamous "No donor" list. And though I'm healthy, my blood isn't "good enough". So I thank you that donate today, and will make a financial contribution, though the two gallons that I donated before saved many more lives than a financial contribution ever could.

Sadly it's not listed as fair use. I don't like having to carry around EVERY disc when I can compress my movies to my hard drive.

I agree on the copying for own use. You should not be limited on something you have purchased. But you put 'profit' at the end of your 'list' that to me means you also sell the copies. That is what I and the movie studios do not agree with. Hence all this red tape crap with music and movie downloads.

You have to install the drivers from the snow leopard disk first. It should work fine. Then you can download the driver update to 3.1 or 3.2.

Running geektool. Most of the desktops you see are running it to display computer information, weather, music, etc.
I'm also using a black dock with the icons.

I thought you had gotten rid of the dock but kept the apps and whatnot and just had a black strip(geektool pic probably). Didn't realize that the dock just blended in with the black strip.

If anything I'm seeing that this will push resale value of iPhones up.
Of course it sucks, but I don't upgrade early so unless they increase the non early upgrade costs this won't apply to a lot of us.
