I checked with attorney and they mentioned that I can continue on my L1 if I am with L1 employer OR if I am with H1 employer then I can be only on H1 status...
As far as denial is concerned, I am still waiting for the notice...
Does anyone has an idea... I heard from some of my friends that specially in case of L1B blanket, denial notice should talk about the problem and also about how to re-apply again.
Also I got a feeling that my company may end up filing L1A as I have 8+ years of experience. Will that be any kind of problem...?
Please suggest...

Is tehre is any way for PREMIUM PROCESSING for I485 pending case?
In my case PD is current since years the I140 is approved. Backbround check etc is over. Confirmed by various sources that my case JUST needs to be picked up by IO.
I have somebusiness trips coming up. My employer want me to find out the way to get the GC faster that way there wont be any hassle for every year renewal od AP and also EADs. and then appplying VISAs which will expire along with teh AP last date.
Along with me my employer is also fed up now:p.
Our lawyer being stupid; the employer wants me to find out the way to expedite I485. Since it is in last stages I think theer could be quicker way.

Yes I am on EB2+PERM. Thanks for the explanation. I now understand the situation.
I have a couple of questions that will help me to figure out what to do:
1-When legally I can start applying for new EB2+PERM with the new employer? Can I start right away from day one or I should work for the new employer for a certain period?
2-What is the best way to have a safe H1B transfer? In other words should I ask my new employer to transfer H1B then resign from the current job once I received the new H1B or how it should be? Please advice.

As the nurses. who are ahead in PD to regular EB3 folks, vacate the line using recaptured numbers (after the country quota is used up in a year) , next year they will not be still standing in the queue ahead of you consuming a valuable quota. The maximum duration of a J-1 is 7 years but the visa is issued 1 year at a time (royal pain). Therefore there is nothing such as a transfer. When residency is over, if you get a fellowship the program files with ECFMG the necessary papers to prove that it's an accredited program etc It is ECFMG that sponsors you not your program/hospital. Each year the program informs ECFMG on your progress and based on that a new sponsorship for another year is granted.
After my first fellowship i was board certified. In order to specialize further I (and my new department) had to convince ECFMG that there was some merit in the whole proposal. anyway long story, they did sponsor me and I did another 2 years thus completing the entire 7 year period.
As for GC, my employer just started the process and insisted on choosing an expensive corporate lawyer they have worked with before. She is in no hurry and I don't know when I will even have a priority date let alone a GC. This is after 11 years here. such fun....

AOS is neither vaild non-immigrant status nor immigrant status. It is a "period of authorized stay" based on contigency of approval of 485. Though, it has work authorization, there is no law clearly says they are eligible for school or any other benefits that immigrants enjoy. Therefore, it is difficult to explain to those have limited knowledge. It is better to get a letter from immigrant lawer to explain to school or just follow what school is suggesting.

I think that any time is a good time - it is better to start the process early. If the company is paying for the process - what is the harm. He should go ahead... If he is planning to leave the company and is required to sign some type of agreement to start GC process - then it will be a different story.
One of my good friend asked me this questions yesterday? I did not have an answer for him and wanted to ask if someone could have any suggestions on this.

Is there any relation between biometrics and the final green card approval time?
I have got annecdotal info from several friends. With one exception (because of a name check process that has taken over two years!) most people receive the green card around three months after the biometrics.
Is that the case?
Biometrics expire after 15 months. This could be renewal, however if it turns to be what you think ? than good for you.
In my case, biometrics had expired 6-8 months ago, but USCIS never informed me. My PD is current but they are saying case is struck at last background check. All other stuff like name-check, finger-prints are done.

This would be another form of civil disobedience movement that Gandhiji started against Britishers. We should call it market disobedience. Nice idea., btw I have already started this. I, on a month to month basis have started investing money in Indian accounts (FDs,MF and stocks) which I would have otherwise invested here. I'm doing this for the past 1.5 years. As long as I do not have a visibility on when I will get my GC, there is no point in investing here. I'm actually sorry to say this because this country now, of all times, needs any money that they can get. I love US, so not being to be able to help kinda hurts. But hey......, you know why. :rolleyes:
