billa went to Texas A and M for his Mechanical Engineering and then moved into a lucrative job at a world famous oil company in Houston. His company has offered him a permanant job and offered to do his Green Card. But they don't know he will be leaving his job to go to Dubai because of Green Card logjam and uncertaainity that prevails.

I am looking for recommendations from fellow forum members to choose a right service for my education evaluation. I need to get my Indian engineering degree evaluated (course by course) for an application in MBA school. I know about WES, but they are asking attested copies from university and registrar..
I thought some one might know some agency that can give evaluation based on original or copies without having to go through in India.
Appreciate feedback..

I am working for a very good Indian company and I worked for 3 very bad Indian companies.I feel the real difference between Good and Bad companies.With good company you never have to worry about your salary and legal things.With bad company you always have to worry about those things.

I don't know what amt was enclosed with the application. All I know it is rejected b'couse of Incorrect/No Fee. My concern is it was rejected on Sep 22nd & lawyer might have got the notice of rejection & he missed it or don't know what happened. It is already more than a month now. How much time is there to resend the application.

From the postings here I am getting to understand that the so called lawyers are not really so. Though it is too late for you, as a lesson one should not depend on them entirely. Review full application , letter by letter yourself before filing, check signatures yourself, and then ask for a copy of the entire package (including copies of checks) for your records.
Anyway, it may be possible to refile by attaching suitable note on the top in bright colors (as USCIS says) so that it is not opened in the mail room.

From what you have mentioned, the answer to your question lies in the notice that USCIS has sent to your attorney....The letter should have exactly the steps needed and the time to respond....Your best bet is to request the attorney to send you a copy of the letter....
Personally, I think USCIS would request the empoyer to sign the check or re-issue a new one and send it within 30 days....it is not a big deal....

I can't find any reference on this forum to E2 investors. We are the skilled, motivated entrepreneurs who come here, invest heavily, employ citizens and have no path to permanent residence. Our children must return to their country of origin at age 21, regardless of how long they have lived here. We ourselves must renew our visas regularly and live in fear of denial.
E2 investors need support in our quest for reform. Is there any room in your organization for us? We will go anywhere and do anything to raise awareness of the injustice of the current immigration laws. The DREAM Act was (thankfully) defeated yet again and should continue to be defeated until it includes all immigrant children, not just illegals.
Those of us who come here legally should be at the top of the list when it comes to reform. Can we band together to make our voice even louder?

Did everyone get receipt and transfer notice? I ask because I only got Transfer notice, and lawyer is not responding about whether he received a receipt notice(with July 2nd date ) also.

Thank you very much for your post. I am in identical situation and planning to use AP to travel to India. Your post gives me some confidence to travel.
I just entered US using AP, and i am not working for my GC sponsored employer. POE is SFO, I had no issues. I will update this post with all the details tomorrow (since i am very tired after travelling). But just thought I will post this thread to let know that you may not have any issues if you dont work for the GC sponsored employer and enter using AP.
Update to my post:
Yesterday I entered US (POE = SFO) , all 3 in the family using AP. We also have one US citizen child. Used the visitors line. First level officer stamped the US citizen passport and gave it and told all 3 of us to go to the secondary. No other questions was asked.
Went to a seperate room for secondary. There were around 15 people. We placed our passports in the holder there. 3 officers were there calling each one and asking them some questions. I was very much worried abt the much dreaded question - "are you working for the same company that sponsored ur GC". But to our greatest surprise, the officer checked everything in his computer, took one of the given 3 APs, put a parole stamp until one year from yesterday and gave us back 2 copies each. We were not even called to the counter. The officer did this and bought all the passports back to the seats where we were waiting. and he told us we are all set and said "Welcome back".. We believe that they did not call us because, we had a child with us. Thats it..so no issues. So dont worry folks, i hope and pray everyone should be ok for those who use AP.

1. To travel out you won't have a problem. Just ensure that the ticketing agent takes the expired I94. Your really don't need the copy of your I485
2. You can travel through any country but most countries ie. UK, France etc. will require you to apply for a trasit visa (that can take some time) In your case I would fly direct from NY to India. There are flight that also take you direct to Dubai and then you can fly Dubai to India. Try and skip Europe that will save you money (in visa applications) and time.
Now when you come back to the US you MUST have either a valid unexpired H1B visa stamped on your passport and/or you will have to carry your Advance Parole (make sure you have 2 copies. Do not relinquish your orginal. The INS officer at the airport will retain a copy). Also it is recommended that you have your I485 receipt info with you and a copy of a letter from your employer. I recommed that you get a full list of items that you need to carry with you from your lawyer so that when you come back you don't have issues at the POE.

All: In my view what has happened here is usually referred to as "amnesty" In the plea deal, the USCIS and DOS will not be subject to investigation and the community receives its July Bulletin. Although not fair, it is exactly what it is..... a PLEA deal.

If you worked in CA you need to file the same state. You dont have to file the tax for the state where your employer resides.

If you are on H1 and employer is not paying weather or not you are on bench, you must report that to DOL. There is a form w-4 (I don't exactly remember the form).
Employee must be paid ALL THE TIME on H1. Period.
That's the law.
Problem for you is, technically you will be out of status if you are not paid.
What if I only complain about recent unpaid period when I was in even in project. They dint pay any thing on March 15th and dont want to pay on March 31st. They only want to pay in April. Whats your suggestion?

Guess what you should only travel by First class, If you travel by economy they will catch you..... :))
Jokes aside, You should be ok your H1B extension/stamping has nothing to do with which Airlines you travel, How many stops you will make etc.. Some countries have restrictions if you don't have valid visa during transit. Check with Airlines.

Chandu: I disagree with you. I think nobody complained on the website itself. People were unhappy with what it showed. The case status is incomplete and very abstract. I do not think anybody cared about navigation or buttons. Besides, it really they listened to the complaints, they would have fixed many more things before this thing. This would have been the last piece to do especially if they are having lack of workforce.
